
Grant M. Hogan, DDS, MD
Dr. Hogan graduated from Roswell High School in 1992 and received a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology with a concentration in Neuroscience from Duke University in 1996. He earned his D.D.S. degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Dental School, where he won numerous academic awards and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. After graduating from dental school in 2000, Dr. Hogan entered an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at the prestigious University of Texas - Southwestern (Parkland Memorial Hospital) in Dallas, Texas. He finished medical school at the University of Texas - Southwestern Medical Center in 2003 and completed his residency in oral & maxillofacial surgery in 2006.
Dr. Hogan is Board Certified in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. He holds a position as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Emory University and has privileges at Emory University Hospital Midtown and at Grady Memorial Hospital. Dr. Hogan keeps abreast of the latest oral and maxillofacial surgery techniques, procedures, and research by attending multiple continuing education courses throughout the year. In addition, he volunteers as an instructor for the oral & maxillofacial surgery residents at Emory University on a regular basis. Finally, Dr. Hogan is one of the oral surgeons on the medical staff of the Atlanta Thrashers and is the oral and maxillofacial surgeon for the Gwinnett Braves.
Dr. Hogan is a Fellow in the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons and is a member of numerous professional organizations including the American Dental Association, the American Medical Association, the Georgia Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. He maintains a certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
Dr. Hogan lives in Suwanee with his wife, Rhonda, a pediatric dentist. In his spare time, he likes to travel, listen to music, work in his yard, exercise, and watch Duke basketball. He is involved with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, is a member of several local soccer and tennis teams, and participates in triathlons.
Dana Burns - Office Manager & Implant Coordinator
Dana has been working in oral and maxillofacial surgery since 1989. She started in a practice in Salem, Oregon, and later moved to Atlanta, where she worked as a lead assistant in a large practice in midtown. After eight years at that practice, she left to help start Georgia Facial & Oral Surgery and has been here since its inception in 2002. She lives in Dacula and has one grown daughter and 2 grandchildren. Dana is a Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Assistant and a Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Anesthesia Assistant.
Heather Poe - Surgical Assitant
Heather joined our team in 2002. She worked for an endodontist for 2 ½ years before coming to Georgia Facial & Oral Surgery. She enjoys her job very much, especially being able to talk to and comfort patients. She resides in Lawrenceville with her husband, Jonathan, and her three children, Devin, Layne, and Meradith. Heather is a Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Anesthesia Assistant.
Robin Treadwell – Receptionist
Robin started with Georgia Facial & Oral Surgery in February of 2003 after being a stay-at-home mom for 21 years. She lives in Norcross with her dog, Sunny, and her two cats, Sylvester and Milford. Her main goal when patients call the office is to put them at ease and ensure they have the best experience possible.
Jennifer Redman – Insurance Coordinator
Jennifer joined our team in May of 2007 after working at a gastroenterology office. She has since become an expert at verifying and working with dental insurance. More importantly, she can explain dental insurance to patients in “layperson” terms. She lives in Duluth with her husband Scott.
